Your treatment is then performed manually through your own loose-fitting clothing. No lotions or oils are used, nor are any medications, injections, or machines. Treatments are administered by appointment and generally last about 1 hour.
Frequency of treatment varies on a case by case basis. However, as a general rule, treatments occur twice weekly for about two weeks. If symptoms recur, you may need to return on a periodic basis as necessary. And, since myofascial trigger point therapy tends to generally restore muscles to a more flexible condition, many of our patients return several times a year for a general “tune-up,” to relieve muscle tightness, spasms, over-use, or injury which can occur with everyday physical and mental stress.
